I make these prints purely because I love creating. I’m interested in the architecture of Manchester and the way the buildings all connect together to create our living spaces. The way we decorate and dress up these spaces also interested me. I think this makes for an immersive environment.

In my work I like to play around with these spaces and create alternative versions on paper, using all types of mediums. I especially enjoy creating collages made using photographs I take around the city, which are then cut up and made into cyanotype prints.

I enjoy separating the buildings to create my own landscape, inventing my own versions of Manchester. A whole new urban landscape that only exists in that particular image.
